Job Description

We are now looking for a committed and driven HSE specialist to join our large client and help advance our environmental, energy, and sustainability efforts in our workshops across the country.

In this role, you will be a key person in supporting the organization with environmental and sustainability issues. You will be responsible for developing and managing the client's environmental management system, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and being the contact person for authorities during inspections. You will have the opportunity to work closely with their local workshops, contribute to reducing their environmental impact, and increase awareness of sustainability within the organization.

As an HSE specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team where you can combine operational and strategic work – from training and self-assessments to reporting and participation in internal projects. We believe you are solution-oriented, communicative, and have a strong desire to contribute to a more sustainable society.

The location is flexible and can be in several locations across the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the company's environmental management system (including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001)
• Support the client's workshops and internal projects on environmental and sustainability issues
• Be the contact person for authorities, municipalities, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations through self-assessments and reporting
• Internal auditor for quality, work environment, environment, and energy

Qualifications

• Relevant post-secondary education in environmental science, natural sciences, sustainable development, engineering, or similar, along with experience in environmental management, preferably according to ISO 14001 and 50001
• At least five years of relevant professional experience and accustomed to working independently with responsibility for driving and developing environmental and sustainability issues in an operational context
• Very good knowledge of applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and handling of chemical products, as well as how these are applied in practice
• Familiar with internal governing documents and management systems in the environmental field, and have experience working with processes, instructions, and regulatory contacts
• Able to communicate, educate, and engage others in HSE issues – both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English
• Possess a valid driver's license (B), as travel to our workshops is included in the position
